Many of you may not know that I am an ordained Reverend, able to give all rites. As you can imagine, it is quite an honor for me to be a part of such a gorgeous ceremony as a handfasting. I will not only be tying two people together, I will also be binding them together as one united entity in the bonds of matrimony.

Years ago, my husband and I had a bondage suspension wedding which remains one of my happier memories. I am deeply honored to be able to provide that same energy for this happy couple to be wed. In a quite ironic twist of fate, it turns out that this handfasting will take place at the very same location as my non-bondage wedding, only I will be on the other side of the altar.

This will be a very traditionally styled southern plantation wedding with the handfasting ceremony built in as a sort of hiding-in-plain-sight ritual to express this couple’s personal desires and beliefs. So while this is not a bondage wedding, the energy and the intent will be there and I will be there to facilitate. I must say am thoroughly excited to be a part of this, words can’t even express.

I am so excited to tell you all know that I have been featured in the amazing new book, The Book of Kink: Sex Beyond the Missionary by Eva Christina. This sweet little paperback is filled to the brim with fascinating tidbits all about the world of kink. The author doesn’t just stop at “traditional” kink, and in fact not even the vanilla nor the mainstream are safe from being exposed in this factual look into all things kink related. Even lifetime kinksters might find themselves surprised at what they read in “The Book of Kink.”

For example, did you know there is a “Catholic Kama Sutra”? There sure is and the best part of all, it was written by a Priest who, fittingly, is named Knotz. I am featured and quoted in a couple of areas throughout the book, specifically the sections on Podophilia (foot fetish) and Vincilagnia (rope bondage).  Here is a snippet of a quote from yours truly, “What I really love about the rope bondage is every little nuance has purpose to it… There’s a very specific structure you have to follow [such as areas on the body to avoid, weight-bearing harness principles, etc] but at the same time, if you want to make something creative and beautiful, you can make it within that structure. It’s kinetic art…” I am pleased to say that my Sister, Goddess Soma, is also featured in this book’s latex section, of course. This is definitely a very interesting read, full of really great trivia, a glossary, and fascinating stories.

So my dear Rik Kitten has given me a naughty gift!! Every time I visit it seems like he’s always got these new gadgets and toys and something new to show me. He always seems to be on the cutting edge of beauty and health indulgences and he’s always introducing me to something new and nummy. Whether it is a new nail polish technology, or the yummiest darkest chocolate I’ve ever tasted, or the cutest most frilliest lolitta dress this side of Japan, or the newest HD handheld video camera components; either way I always find some new “thing” at Rik’s.

He has also given me a reason to be a fat drunk person, albeit a very happy one This time he introduced me to a product that is most dangerously amazing and indulgent…and he is such a naughty kitten for that!! Alcohol-infused whipped cream, of the caramel variety. That was the gift he gave me!! Can you believe him! Whipped cream that is 10% alcohol and tastes like caramel!!! Great, now I have to go home, and enjoy getting fat and drunk, gee, thanks Rik Kitten

I had the best time while visiting Tokyo and I wanted to share some photos I took while on my trip. I like Japan. I must say. I got to do a bit of site-seeing and I got to go to see Me First and the Gimme Gimme’s show, after which I had the pleasure of attending an SM club in Shibuya. Here are some highlights from my trip, with some commentary, but if you want to skip all that you can go straight to my photography site, AlteredAperture, and check out the Japan Gallery. But seriously, you’ll at least want to scroll down to read the last bit of commentary and see the accompanying photos. Don’t forget, you can click on the images to make them bigger.

I love how cute this adult store is!! I also love how huge and prevalent it is, right there in the middle of the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. That photo in the middle is dog houses from a store in Harajuku. I mean really, so much cute, dogs there have their paws dyed to look like little booties and folk dress them up and parade them around, no lie. Also, that sign reads “Smile Junky” and it is the name of this awesomely adorable little bar. I just liked the name a lot!

The main street of Haraku square is called Takeshita, which inspired many a joke thanks to my traveling companion’s sophomoric humor. This was only made worse when we turned a corner to see the sign proclaiming “We Go Takeshita” (you see in this joke the “Harajuku” part is silent). *Facepalm* Anywho, check out that last pic, it was taken from the Shibuya crossing, it’s a large tv that plays ads and music videos all day. It’s pretty neat.

The only place I’ve ever seen these full size oldschool Godzilla and Voltron toys was in my NC home that I shared with my husband who has the most amazing collection of 80s toys in the world. That is, until I visited the largest manga store in Japan! I was so excited to see these, but it made me homesick. Look at the middle pic, it was in front of a clothing shop in Harajuku, instead of a head it wears a latex bunny mask, bc yeah, that happens in Japan. And yes, my shirt says “Miso Cute” and yes, I made it myself

We went to visit a Shinto temple in Tokyo. I learned how to do a traditional Shinto prayer and I got my fortune at the altar. It was fascinating to see such a beautiful balance with this ancient tradition still alive in a land of cutting edge technology. I also found it neat to see two highly recognizable symbols, the swastika and the rainbow flag, being used unaltered as it has for centuries. It just goes to show that symbols have no power but for what the beholder puts in them.

On my last night we passed a couple of fun possibilities for the night. The Mistress Bar sign is on the ground, eye level, all manner of family restaurants on either side of this place. The middle pic is from a standup poster in a similar family-centric location in a shopping mall. They don’t care, it’s just half nekkid girls tied up on a poster, wanna fight about it. That would never fly in the States, but man if it could that’d be awesome. But before I could hit up the fun clubs, it was time to catch the Me First and the Gimme Gimme’s show.

But before my time in Japan was through I got to visit an SM club and do a few suspensions. The first one was awesome, one of the Ladies from the House wanted to go up, but she didn’t speak a word of english. There’s something gorgeous about the fact that she let me put her up without any actual words being said, I just positioned her body as I wanted her to stand. That middle pic is mid-tie during a transition from vertical to inverted suspension. Another suspension I did was on a sweet new girl who was just visiting the club and always wanted to be suspended, she asked me to put her up and I got the Shibari Mistress’s permission but the girl didn’t want photos. It is so huge of a respect thing that they let me suspend not once, but three times! During my first 2 suspensions, the club business went on as usual, people did their thing, the bar tender tended bar; I love it that this is so common place here, like home.

After my second suspension I got to witness the Shibari Mistress do a performance in which she turned someone into an upside down chandelier. This is remarkable because this was the very FIRST suspension I did on the west coast when I moved to Los Angeles from North Carolina. To see an actual Japanese Shibari Mistress do that same suspension pose, well it was as if my world came full circle, again. Later, before the night was over, a couple of friends wanted to be suspended and so I did my 3rd and final rig of the night. This one was a special one on so many reasons that I can’t get into right now…but let’s just say the entire club felt the energy. I did my “couple’s tie” where I suspend two people at the same time from the same suspension point. During the suspension time stopped, and so did the whole club…the bartender came out from behind the bar, everyone came and sat down to watch, even the Shibari Mistress was front and center, having never seen anything like this before, she said. At the end of the night the girls, the Ladies, and the Mistress lined up and, instead of the customary bowing of the head, I was sent off with hugs and praise and I floated on a cloud all the way back to USA.

For all intents and purposes I am on a professional outting just outside of town. The county fair is going on right beyond the hotel gates. As a Southern girl I do enjoy a county fair

I got to spend the weekend watching live cooking competitions, livestock shows, and I spent hours in the arts and crafts section of the fair geeking out over competition tablescapes and original costume designs. Not to mention the rides and the fine dining such as foot long double dipped corndogs and deep fried Snickers, which I can tell you from experience are both amazing!! When I wasn’t embracing my inner child at the fair I was soaking up all the amenities at the hotel. Lounging in the hot tub at the end of the day, with a view of the mountains in the distance and palm trees all around me, became a mini ritual. Afterward I would dry off in the sauna, or go for a massage.

There was a Leadership Conference going on inside the convention rooms of the hotel. I’ve been to that same conference so many times during my years in the American Marketing Association. You couldn’t get away from it if you were inside the hotel and I have to say it was so familiar to me, I could almost sense when a new keynote speaker stepped up to the podium and began. I won’t lie, there was a part of me who missed that. There was a part of me who missed being on the giving side of an Ishikawa diagram, explaining the DMAIC Process….

But then I thought to myself, gee what a nice hobby that would be, and in an alternate universe I am still doing just that as a profession; but right here, right now, I’m happy making a happy living tying up beautiful people in beautiful places all around this beautiful world. And I end my night in this universe with a beer in the hot tub.

I had dinner the first night in Japan at Restaurant Ninja. I wish I could have filmed the whole experience, it was amazing!! We were greeted in the tiniest little room by a guide in full Ninja garb and told that we would begin our Ninja training momentarily. Ah! How exciting!! I’m a big ol dork so I love this shit. We have to duck to enter a teeeeeeny secret door in the wall, balancing on craggy soggy terrain in a very narrow tunnel with waterfalls audible in close proximity, we slowly make our way through the path which is faintly lit by flickering “torches” on the floor. After this first trek we spill into a maze of “jail cells” and dead ends and more secret tunnels….then a draw bridge, which was awesome because I mean it’s a draw bridge inside the basement of a building in Japan!

These “jail cells” were neat, some looked just like jails to where you can see through the bars from the hallway to the inner rooms which were actually little private dining rooms. Some of the cells didn’t have bars, just heavy looking doors to mimic dungeon rooms that you can’t see into from the hallway. Appropriately we were placed in a dungeon!!!!!!! The room was small and dark and we had to remove our shoes in the hallway and sit on mats on the floor, but thankfully the table was sunken in so we had room to dangle our feet. I loved our little dungeon dining room!

The food presentation was awe inspiring. I didn’t want to be that colossal goob who takes photos of everything, so I let a few of the presentations skip my lens. One of which was a foie gras dish that was over a foot high and had food in the shapes of throwing stars and whatnot. They had this nummy “Ninja Fakeout” dish with tofu and lobster meant to look and taste like a custard tarte and I swear that was neat! I snuck in a couple of food photos, like this unfortunately blurry pic of a meat cupcake (which is probably only hilarious to Mess and Janice) and a pretty display of sushi that was lit from the bottom with rainbow LED rights.

Meat meet Cupcake. Cupcake, meet Meat. MeatCupcake!!!! Mashed potato top with edible gold garnish, over a “cup” of some manner of minced marinated pork-of-awesome rolled in a flat biscuity thinger.

What a cute way to display sushi!! It’s a bed of shaved ice, but in the bottom of the dish there are LED lights that alternate colors; sadly my camera flash washed out the effect but it was really pretty.  I like my food all high tech yeah!!

The dinner was only part of our “training” we had some fine entertainment with Ninja Magic!! I’ve seen some amazing slight of hand card tricks in my day by some amazing artists at the Magic Castle…but I was stunned at the Ninja skills on display right there at our dungeon table. First of all, it was a very small room, only the few of us in my group were able to fit, so there was no stage or distance between us and the Ninja…all the tricks were done right under our noses in front of our eyes and not one of use could see what or how the hell this guy was doing this stuff.

At the end of the night I was happy to get checked into my international hotel, where I was greeted by comfy beds instead of tatami mats on the floor and also along with the customary Holy Bible I am used to seeing in hotels, there beside was The Teaching of Buddha which tickled me

As an aside, dig on the streets here…that’s three layers of street going on there. I think that’s neat. I also think it’s neat that they read up-to-down rather than left-to-right like on the street sign I posted below.

I have never been to Japan before, but I am really excited to go! I hear tell that they do this fun thing with ropes over there I plan on taking a lot of touristy pictures so I will be posting those once I get back state side.

I am going with an open mind and no schedule to speak of. I have no plans of doing anything specific and I do not now anyone who lives there. I used to plan and schedule the hell out of everything I did, and now I find that I tend to dig on a more laissez faire method. Come to think of it I also dig the socioeconomic method of the same name.

So that said I will more than likely be out of commission while I am away.  Please be patient with emails and messages sent to me during this time. I’m leaving this friday and returning the next. Send happy thoughts/vibes/prayers!

I was scrolling through my cell phone and I saw that I randomly have all these photos of 2 people tied up together. Ok, so one couple is taped together, still though. “Why do you like your job?”

My short answer:

“Um have you seen my job?” …but then I realized that it probably isn’t quite efficient to answer a question with a question, especially if you are the only person actually involved in said dialogue and thus it is best to answer as best as you can.

My long answer:

I am one of those types who identify with their job. I am the job. That said I had a tough go of it in the corporate world of meaningless meetings and pointless paper pushing; the world of whoever is talking the loudest game wins while those buckled down in their offices doing all the work get passed over. How could I possibly be happy with identifying with that. I wasn’t. I identified with a pointless, thankless, fruitless existence; because my job was pointless, thankless, and fruitless; and thus I felt that I was pointless, thankless, and fruitless . I hoped, back then, that I could fundamentally change. I envied the people who had worked in the same cubicle for 8 years and were happy with that. I hoped that I could be happy with that identity, because frankly I thought those jobs were the only options I had. I couldn’t bear the idea of still being in that cubicle 8 years from then and still being depressed and miserable. I hoped I could change. I stopped hoping for that. I stopped hoping that I would change to fit my job, and instead I hoped for a job that would fit me. I prayed on it.

I love the job that I have now because my job is a God send. There was a point in my life when I didn’t know which direction to go, I had all of these hopes and plans for myself but try as I might I just couldn’t seem to make any headway. I was fighting and trying with all my might, but I was only treading water. Finally I gave it all up to God, I let go of my attachment to all my hopes and dreams and put all my faith right on in there. I’m not lying. It was really hard giving up a lifetime of expectation for yourself, even if it is self-imposed…I felt like a true failure and I felt like I was a quitter. But I realized that I wasn’t quitting, I was just getting started. After all, those were my expectations and maybe a bit from my family – but what the hell did we know anyway and who the hell was I to think that my expectation was the right way for me to go. Nope, maybe it was based on where  thought I *needed* to go, maybe it never occurred to me that I could think on where I *wanted* to go. Surely that is not an option! Surely people punch clocks day in and day out and that is the only option for me too! Damn was I wrong! Of course had I held onto my precious preconceived expectations I never would have realized how wrong I was. So I let it all go. I prayed my little heart out and I asked God to please open the doors and light the way down the path. Not two weeks later I got a call to come work the MTV Movie Awards as an assistant photographer in LA.

Next thing you know I am out here in LA, living a life that is bigger than life, and getting paid to do what I love. I am so blessed. You see, all those years that I was doing the college thing and the corporate job deals I was tying up people and taking photos of them. This was my release, my sanity. I started to realize little by little that I identified with this outlet more than my job. That was just abhorrent to me. I must identify with my job. I am my job. How the hell do I rectify this situation? I couldn’t. At least not on my own. I never wanted to move. EVER. I wanted to stay in my home with my family. But I wanted to be happy also. Happy won out in the end. I won’t go into the miraculous and unbelievable series of events that led me to this life that I live now, but I will say that my job was made just for me and I have found a livelihood with which I can truly identify. In a way it makes me feel whole and in alignment in other words I feel as if I am where I need to do right now, and if that’s not a comfort in the face of scary changes well I don’t know what is.

When I was in business school I learned that one of the most successful things you can do in business is to figure out how to make money doing what you love. I am doing just that.

I love my job because I am able to make a living doing what I love to do. I love my job because my coworkers are more like family. I love my job because I look forward to going to work, to laughing with the guys, to laughing with the girls, to taking photos, to not writing weekly reports because my boss doesn’t know what I do and needs me to tell her,  to not giving presentations no one pays attention to, and yes I even look forward to tying the girls up. I love my job because every single time I work I get to create a work of art, albeit temporary and tied onto someone’s body. I love my job because every single time I work I get a new experience. (did you see that…I just said two “get” sentences with regards to my job, not “give”. that’s another reason right there) I love my job because it has led to yet another outlet, teaching, and every time I learn something new on set that is just one more tidbit I can share with my students.

This July 4th was definitely not a traditional one for me. Instead of camping or backyard BBQ’ing, I went to Malibu to see the ocean, go to a wine tasting at a 5-Star restaurant, and then see four amazing fireworks shows over the Pacific Ocean from the best view in Malibu.

I had designs on going to the beach proper and actually putting my toes in the water, or at least my feet in the sand. Alas, that was not to be. The beaches were positively packed with people. Of course they were. It’s Malibu on a holiday. Whatever was I thinking? But the drive was gorgeous.

I spent the late afternoon with Big at Beau Rivage. It is that 5-star place I was talking about, and as such it was quite empty…we had the place to ourselves.  tasting wine and chocolate made with port and all manner of nummies.  I like to taste the wine before I read or hear the description so I can try to identify the notes I am tasting before I know what they are. I am getting alright at this wine tasting thing actually. After that, instead of doing a beach picnic, I decided it would be best to get my white ass out of the sun and the crowd. So we went to see a movie instead. We saw Bad Teacher. It was cute.

After the movie it was time to carry on with our plans. Armed with our new chocolates and a couple bottles of wine, we make our way to the party by the pacific. EPIC!! I’ll just describe it as an intimate gathering of amazing people, and even though we weren’t all family and friends we all had a great time drinking and watching the shows. It was amazing. From where we were you could see from bluff to bluff all the way to Santa Monica (well, on a clear night lol). There were four huge barges that set sail from various points along the shore, designed to give everyone along the shore a view of the fireworks show. One after another they began their show and I was fortunate enough to see all four shows from where we were sipping our wine and having a great time.

This is the 1st year in 11 years that Big hasn’t worked the Warped Tour. This is a good thing. This is also the 1st year he’s gotten a chance to go to the Warped Tour as a spectator, a civilian.

We drove down to Ventura but before we parked for the day we explored a bit. We found this adorable little italian place and decided to have a little lunch. This was a real treat for Big. Here he was at the site of the tour but instead of working we’re relaxing over a wonderful lunch and a caraffe of chianti.

After lunch we got our vip bands and went to see his tour friends; most of whom have grown into family at the point after so many years of touring together. It is fascinating to see this exchange. Tour folk seem to have their own culture. I guess it makes since after living and sleeping in a bus with 19 others, working in the sun all day with rarely a shower, and eating off a grub line everyday as you traverse the country. In a way it sounds like a wonderful adventure.

After bus call Big and I left the Warped Tour. We were eagerly on our way to our next destination.

We will be spending the 4th in Malibu. I’ll be blogging about that experience later.

I figure this wasn’t much of a stretch for me as I’ve already suspended someone from a bus stop, so why not from a bus mirror!

Let me just go on record to say that I love working with CandleBoxxx, she’s one of the smartest funniest models I’ve had the pleasure to call friend. When Holly Randall of ForeverVamp.com asked me to tie up Candle I was so excited.

We met up in this crazy old bus graveyard/junkyard/llama hangout. It was really creepy cool, and quite a challenge. They didn’t really have a natural suspension point in the yard, so I figured I would go ahead and use the mirror from an old school bus as a hang point. After I tested it of course.

I had both of CandleBoxxx’s wrists in a cuff and I finished the rig with a single ankle cuff.  All of her weight was held by those two pressure sensitive areas. I don’t suggest anyone to actually do this, it is a brutal form of bondage and it is highly dangerous because if it’s done wrong it can cause permanent nerve damage from the ankle. That said it was a hot suspension for the tiny instance she was up. I had so much fun on that shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In her cover story for Rolling Stone Magazine, Rihanna talks about sex and S and M. For those of you who know you might recall that in her newest music video, titled “S&M”, I actually tied Rihanna up on the floor and she’s thrashing about in my pink rope.

It seems I left an impression! According to her interview she says, “Being tied up is fun.” So true Rihanna, so true. I dig how she prefers her play partner to use hands versus chains and whips and the like, I tend to feel the same way.

Though I do feel that the media over sensationalizes things of this nature, I do dig on how the topic of BDSM is being spoken about with candor. Though this may be gimmicky I’m sure, I do appreciate how BDSM is being exposed to the main stream in such a way as to provoke thought instead of simply providing pure shock value. Now before you start in, I know it can be argued that the “S&M” music video is about as thought provoking as a Victoria’s Secret catalog; however I must say it is a rather catchy ditty and after seeing Rihanna tied up in yellow polkadots and colorful hairbows and pink ropes, somehow bondage doesn’t seem so scary and dirty. There. See.

I rigged Kara in a sideways lotus bondage suspension, it’s quite a tough pose even for experienced rope suspension models. Once she was up I donned my elbow length black latex gloves and started to prime her ass for entry.

It didn’t take much for me to ease my entire hand up to the wrist right up her surprisingly tight asshole. This girl can really take it! As you can see from the bondage pic above, I used minimal ropes…I don’t suggest you try this at home. This is definitely in the category of suspension for pain, it is definitely not for the faint of heart. Luckily Kara is a strong girl and as a bonus she happens to like this style of rope work.

Once I got her off by anal fisting, I got her out of the ropes and onto the ground, but you could tell she was still flying! I love that.

I had the pleasure of tying up Bailey Brooks in tight rope bondage. I love rope suspension, especially the lotus rope suspension, so I was happy to rig this hot model in this position. Once she was in the air Ogre did some foot bondage and also some toe bondage! Hot! Once he added the nipple clamps Bailey Brooks was howling.

This sexy couple is Ariella Ferrara and Devon Savage and they had a lot of fun while shooting for FMConcepts.us. I like to tie up these two and gag them, otherwise they joke a lot and make me laugh. However I still laugh because Ariella drools all over herself when she’s got a gag in her mouth.

For this bondage scene I stripped Devon Savage nude and tied his ankles and thighs together. Then I tied Ariella right to him, using tight bondage and a lot of rope. They have so much fun when they are in my ropes and soon enough Devon Savage was groping Ariella as she was bound to him…so I simply tied Devon Savage’s wrists tightly and secured them to the rafters. That way he would have to keep his hands to himself haha. After that I took of Ariella Ferrara’s clothes and teased her a bit using my strategically placed crotch rope and “happy knot”. She loved that! After a while I left them alone to struggle together. Talk about a bonding experience for this sexy naked couple of hot asses huh!! I tell you, I truly do enjoy my job!

In fact I love working with couples directly. When I do private classes with couples I find it so fulfilling because I know that once I leave them they will be equipped with the knowledge and skill to further explore fantasies that they might not have before I taught them. I love it when these couples actually invest in a class such as this, when they put their relationship as a priority in that way. This kind of sexual exploration is intense, as they soon learn if they don’t already know, and it really makes me happy to be able to facilitate this experience .

However in my classes I do not bind the couple to each other. Poor Devon Savage and Ariella Ferrara have a different bondage experience together:

I had the pleasure of tying up Dia Zerva for Dungeon Corp yesterday. I spent a hot 6 hours tying up this sexy bondage model in various strict restraint positions for a fucking machine, strap-on, bondage sex, and lots of caning and flogging.

Dia Zerva is a powerhouse and can take a lot of pain and pleasure, plus she’s really flexible and strong at the same time. I love that! I got to tie the pretty blond in a spread eagle tie on a concrete floor so that she could get fucked by a fucking machine…she had the most explosive orgasm and she squirt two times!

After that I rigged her tight body into a rope suspension: spread leg, tight ropes, breast bondage, and hanging sideways in the air. I can’t tell much about it because I signed a nondisclosure agreement, but rest assured as soon as the music video airs I will post it and all behind the scenes shots that I can!

The experience of being right there during a music video production for one of the most popular R&B singers was something I don’t think I will ever forget. It was exciting to see the sound stages being built from the ground up. I think I want to be a grip when I grow up…they get to suspend equipment, lighting, and staging; instead of suspending people like I do. I loved seeing all the models coming in and out of Makeup. I just loved being around the energy of it all.

I had Big John come with me to help with rope handling and to offer a spot if needed. I was so glad he was there. At one point I “practiced” on a model and rigged a specific position then the Producer, Artist, and her Manager had to see the rig position for approval before I bound the Artist. I had the girl in a sort of frogtie-hogtie and so Big John literally had to pick up the model and carry her bound to where the Artist and Producter were sitting. It was pretty cool seeing everyone’s reactions to the tied up model. I had to remind myself that most of these folk had never before seen someone in bondage right there in front of them. It was incredible. I was fielding questions and explaining the rig to the Producer and they even did a little behind the scenes mini interview of me, which I thought was very awesome indeed.

Some of them had gotten wind that I taught classes and hit me up for information! I told them about the Threshold classes and about my private lessons. I couldn’t believe the reaction that people had, they just all seemed fascinated. I think I liked that the most because I just love it when people get into learning about ropes and gt excited about it.

I am so very blessed to be living a life where I can do what I love to do, the way I love to do it, on my terms, for amazing folk…it’s icing on the cake that I just so happened to also get the chance to tie up a Super Star for her first time!!!

I’m never one for being starry eyed, and to tell the truth I have already tied up my music idol CEO of Punk Rock, so I am no stranger to rigging stars…but still I was both thrilled and humbled to have gotten this opportunity.

This music video is going to be seen by millions of people all over the world…and so will my signature pink ropes and rigging styling! If you had told me a year ago that I would be here today I wouldn’t have believed you, yet here I am.

I guess I am doing what I am meant to. I think I will certainly keep it up!

I’m no stranger to change, and luckily I’m quite adaptable, but there is just so much at one time that a person can handle at once you know.

I am going to the hospital on monday because I’m scheduled for another test and I will be wearing a holter monitor again for several days. Hopefully they can figure out what’s going on with my heart. Frankly I’m done with the whole thing and if I didn’t need this heart I would just have them take it out, but alas it seems I need it to keep on living so I’m doing all I can to help this heart heal.

I’ve cut out caffeine and alcohol and heavy foods and all the fun stuff haha, but I am already seeing a difference in the palpitations and arrhythmia, and the medication seems to be doing its job, so that’s a good sign.

As far as the fibromyalgia, well that’s kit’s own beast and I’m dealing with it as best I can.

But enough of this health thing.

I am back in LA and I am ready to move upward and onward. I just hope my body can keep up with me I am looking forward to going back to work again and I am excited about starting up bondage classes once more. I’m sorry this isn’t an exciting entry yall but I figured I might as well post an update and let you all know what’s going on. Much love!

Sooooo over the past month I’ve been through a bit of bad health. It’s resulted in me going through a series of tests, only to find out the doctors don’t know what’s wrong with me. It happens.

In fact that’s a pic of me up there at the top of this entry.

At the moment I’m sitting here wearing a holter monitor. This brings back painful awful memories. The last time I was made to wear one, it resulted in needing heart surgery.

I’m praying this is just a cautionary measure and there’s no real danger of needing surgery again.
I’ve been through an awful lot in a short amount of time…I won’t bore you with details but suffice to say that I am hoping this series of tests I went through today is the last I’ll have to deal with and my doctor can figure out what’s going on. None of my symptoms seem to make any sense to any one thing, which might just mean I’m a fluke and there’s truly nothing wrong with me.
I can live with being a fluke if that’s the case

At any rate…I am going to take things super duper easy for a while so that I can focus on my health. Please understand if I don’t respond to messages.

I’m not sure how or if this will affect classes or demos, if at all, but I will keep everyone informed!

Hey yall! This is the video I did just before I left for my holiday visit to NC for Thanksgiving. It was a crazy few days for sure, I got to be a food judge for a national wide food competition with a Master Chef from the Culinary Institute of America and it was so much fun! Then I got to spend the whole day after teaching people about rope as the Threshold Society Resident Bondage Guru. I’m glad to be back but I had a lot of fun!

Hey yall this is me talking about my visit to the bookstore, did you know they have teen “romance” books, omg I swear they didn’t have those when I was a kid!

Anyhow, lots of folk here ask me about my life and I must say I live a crazy one. I have a lot of stories about my crazy silly family growing up haha, so for those of yall who wanted a little more insight into me, this is for yall!

Here I am waiting before class starts with my two demo bottoms for the day. The lady sitting beside me is none other than Dolly, with and to whom I may do as I wish in class  as, well, to be frank Dolly is a blow up doll, but please dont tell her that.

The lucsciousness at my feet is julia, an amazing model and bondage bunny on loan to me from her Dominant for the class. I must say I have very generous friends, don’t you think. julia is so very lovely and sweet, and she’s an excellent model as well.

This class was taught at Threshold and the topic was on forced orgasms with bondage. I decided to teach the class because I had gotten a lot of requests for how to tie a hitachi on a bound person. From personal experience I know the frustrations of that. Until I figured out how to makes these harnesses out of rope I was limited to either using a stand to hold the hitachi, or I would have to stand there myself and hold it…either way it left the model in one single bondage position. If I wanted to move the model into another position then I wouldn’t be able to use the hitachi stand or I’d have to untie the whole rig. Not good!

So I developed several different harnesses intended to give the model movement while bound. In effect if I wanted to stand a model up, lay her down, walk her into the other room, hogtie her, etc, I would be able to do all of those things, one after another,  without removing the vibe or changing a single rope. Pretty handy and convenient I must say. Also once at a play party I was about to do a really hot scene where I was going to do strap-on play on a Domme with her own “cock” so I took detached the cock from her strap-on harness and realized that I had no harness of my own, so I had to just whip one up out of rope right quick so we could go on with the scene…I taught that too.   Here are a couple out take photos sent to me by a class attendee

I like this design because unlike most strap-on harnesses I’ve tried, this one itsn’t bulky, it doesn’t give me a wedgie, and there are no annoying buckles and loose strappy deals flapping about…it’s sleek and sexy just like my amazing demo bottom, julia. And unlike a strap-on harness from the store, I like to build in a “happy knot”, you know, for my pleasure, because that’s what it’s all about after all lol.

Here’s me obviously getting super excited about finishing off this double-hitachi harness on julia. Yall need to not that once I get everything tied into place, julia can walk, sit, lay down, and even do jumping-jacks and these bad boys aren’t going anywhere! This is where the “forced” in forced-o comes from…most models try to squirm away once they feel they have had enough, but that’s not quite possible with this sexy but sadistic rig I taught to my lovelies in class!

I sincerely want want want this Hello Kitty bondage couch! Look at how absolutely adorable it is. The pink wooden frame has a nice classic design, and it looks quite sturdy, and I must say the attached matching pink handcuffs are a nice touch. Of course I would probably modify the design to include my favorite hand-dyed pink ropes instead of the chains. And it’s a perfect match for my little pink cottage!

See that pic up there? That’s my handsome ass puppy boi, I named him bear, I know you will love him bear is my amazing collared puppy who is new to D/s and bondage but I must say he’s really got the hang of it (I intended that pun).

I had the pleasure of bringing my puppy with me to Folsom St Fair, which as most of you know is my personal mecca, and we had the best times in ropes! This was bear’s first public scene ever, and I was so proud of how he did. At one point in time I tied him to a chain-link fence. he was promptly molestered by a couple of men, much to his dismay and much to my amusement, but I when come on you see some hotness tied to a fence and what would you do?

After the molestation we walked around and enjoyed people-watching, but there wasn’t as much to see out this year so we had to create our amusement. Luckily there are a good number of bus stops handy…so I suspended bear from the bus stop on Folsom St.  I had replaced the leather harness he originally wore with a rope harness and we ended our day at the fair with a lovely dinner in a lovely restaurant with a lovely group of friends, and yes I made him keep the harness on the whole time. I had such a good time with him, he’s a good puppy and I think I’ll keep him

Hi all, I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated the ol’ blog. I’ve been out of commission with health issues and a car wreck and all manner of unplesantry…however I was able to take respite from the pains of the times of late and I had a wonderful play date with kade. My fans remember the first time I played with kade as a puppy and this last time was just as fun. We didn’t do a content shoot or anything like that, but we did have photos taken.

I am posting just a few of these for now, but there are more to come. I love spending time with puppy kade, he’s a wonderful person and a great friend of mine so when we get together it is always a lot of fun. I now have a personal puppy collared to me, his name is bear, you will be seeing him in the future. But for now I give you puppy kade

I decided to at first to have a day in the sun with kade, it was such a lovely day out and I felt like enjoying the scenery outside. kade played outside while I caught some sun in my favorite vintage bathing suit. kade was wearing his rubber puppy mask and paws, he looked so adorable and he’s such a sweet little doggy. While he’s typically a well behaved pup, he tried to jump up on me while I was relaxing with a cigarette and a martini, so I had to put him in his place. But after that he settled down and once I had my fill of the great outdoors I decided to take him inside to feed him and get a little bit of housework done in my favorite shoes, white latex dress, and pink latex gloves!

Ya know it takes a lot of time being a full time bondage rigger, director of production and marketing for one of the longest-running fetish companies, and a BDSM educator; especially when you add in my extracurricular activities like practicing my trumpet, aerial silks, fire dancing, performing, and of course reading books in trees. A lady like me can always use a helping hand around the house. This is where my slave-in-training, lil j, comes to play.

lil j is currently training to be my slave and part of his responsibilities is to tend to my cottage once a week, to fill in the blanks of things I can’t get to during my crazy busy schedule. Though I am typically always working on some sort of encoding or writing while he is here, I do enjoy a good treat for my eyes when I can break from away from the computer screen….so I make him dress pretty for me.

I just love this outfit he is wearing. I think a silver and black combo is very classy. I had him wear a satin and lace silver corset, yet his nipples are exposed (all the better for the nipple clamps that came along later in the day). The black pleated skirt really set off the the shine in the corset. And of course I had to add matchy-matchy black stockings, with a seam up the back, black vinyl band at the top and silver ribbon bows to match the corset, I love the bows on the front of  stockings, don’t you think, they are just too precious! lil j supplied the skirt and shoes, which were black spike heels, with a white wingtip-inspired style and a strap around the middle; classic wouldn’t you agree.

There’s something about the click click of spike heels on tile that I just absolutely adore. I do like to hear his dainty little footsteps around the cottage while I toil away at my work of the day. Growing up I did most of the housework for our family of 5, and as such I find it immensely pleasurable to sit back and let my lil j take on these tasks to free up my mind and time for my more higher-level work. Here are a few quick snaps of him in the midst of my midst. Oh, and just so you are warned….I also like to keep lil j equipped with an inflatable plug, and he doesn’t “tuck” so don’t be surprised to see dangling bits in the photos below (click them and they get bigger, you’ll see)

I love to rig in my bare feet. Actually I love doing most things in my bare feet. And at the end of a long busy day, there’s nothing better than propping my feet up on my bondage pet while I relax.

A lot of clients come to me for this reason actually, I naturally combine foot fetish with inescapable bondage. Though I do like to play tricks on my bondage pet, rik. Sometimes I like to leave the safety scissors within reach of him and I will let him know about it. I love watching him try to wriggle around the room trying to “look” for the scissors even though he is hogtied and his face is mummified so he can’t see.

On occasion, however, I’ll simply place a chair down in the middle of the floor and wait until he squirms near me, then I will prop my feet on him. rik knows better than to keep moving around once I’ve made him into an instant foot stool for me. So, like a good bondage pet, he will sit there in my ropes while I rest my feet…I’m sure he’s just waiting for me to lift my feet so he can keep searching for the scissors.

Imagine rik’s surprise when I showed him this photo….notice where the scissor’s are!! The whole time all he had to do was simply reach back and he would have had his hands right on them and could have gotten himself free of my ropes. Ah well! Poor rik. After I had my fill, I finally set him free of the hogtie…but not from my ropes

At the request of the myriad folk who could not attend my first full Harness class I’ve decided to do an encore!! However this class is going to be a lot different. I am having the studio provide me with a suspension truss so I can teach a full suspension!! I am so excited about this and I know you will be too.

Not to say this will be a suspension class, however I am going to show you how to create a suspension harness that is quite comfy and is anatomically formulated for both male or female bottoms – the truss will just be on hand for me to show you all how effective the harness is.

The harnesses I will teach are going to cover the gambit of the most popular harnesses out there, so I know you will enjoy these. Also for those of you who are friends with me on Fetlife you can write in and suggest a harness for me to cover in this class if you will be there.

Here’s an update on how my life has been over this past month. I pretty much only talk about personal stuff in my video blogs lol.

Anyway, I wanted to give you all a heads up about my next class.

July 23rd Harnesses. 7-9pm. At Glass Slipper Studios in Burbank. This will include a complete suspension demo.

July 24th Bondage Photography Workshop. At Glass Slipper Studios in Burbank. I will teach photographers how to pose and light a bound model and how to do some basic but intricate bondage. I will also have a professional bondage model on hand as a demo bottom, she will also offer her tips from a model’s perspective!

The first time Rik and I sessioned together I expressed to him that I enjoyed objectification, including dollification. It’s one of my things, what can I say. He seemed intrigued by the idea of me turning him into a little dolly for me to play with.

I started by having him wear a pretty blue satin frilly ass dress, it’s so pretty. Stockings and heels were to follow. Once he was dressed I took it upon myself to create his look with makeup – but first I had to rope him down, you know to make sure he didn’t move and smudge the makeup! I made sure to include a rope gag tie-off to keep his head steady. I’m such a sweet and thorough Mistress are I not.

When I was finished primping his hair and putting the finishing touches on his makeup, I added a pretty red ball gag to match his pretty red lipstick. As I untied his hands I could tell that he thought he’d be let loose, but to his surprise I simply moved the his wrists into a different position. This time I placed his hands into a dainty pose by this chin. Isn’t he just pretty as a picture!

I made him sit there for a while as I took a little bit of a break. I made myself some coffee and sat down to enjoy the hot steaminess as my dolly struggled for me, bound and gagged to his chair. By the way, this whole process was video taped…I used his very own personal camera! You can be sure I will post this footage for your amusement at a later date

Finally I released the doll from his chair and leashed him directly to the stair railing. To make sure he stayed firmly in those cute little black heels I tied them onto his feet, complete with an ankle-hobble so he can’t try to run away. While he stood there I had him bend over and close his eyes while I cleaned up the makeup and set up a surprise from him. Imagine his surprise when he finally opened his eyes to see a massage table and a toolbox…

I stretched him out and strapped him down on the massage table using my pink ropes. I bound his wrists and tethered them so that his hands reached his crotch area. Then I blindfolded him with my favorite scarf, covering his eyes and nose, and made him hold an attachment right onto his boy bit. This attachment led to the toolbox, which houses a powerful motor to control a suction and stoking machine! Once everything was in place I fiddled with the knobs of this new contraption. I had never played with it before, but I tested the suction on my hands and I must say it’s a powerful little device. As I turned the knobs the suction grew stronger and the strokes came quicker and my little dolly squirmed in my ropes. I kept him there for quite a while, but he didn’t seem to mind.

And that was my first session with Rik, my new bondage pet. The end.

Now I am back in my cottage, enjoying a rare quiet night with no work, shoots, classes, demo’s, sessions, or obligations of any kind. Holy crap that never happens!! So how am I spending my evening, you ask? I am doing exactly what I want to.

Tonight after having lil j, my new slave-in-consideration, cleaned the cottage and drove me to errands,  I decided that he needed to start his bondage training. lil j is still a bit new to ropes, so of course I much acclimate him. I placed lil j in a nice comfy ball tie at my feet while I sat back and relaxed to Patton Oswalt’s “Yoshinoya Beef Bowl” bit and laughed. I was proud that he lasted the entire time and a bit of another standup bit.

I really do need quiet evenings like this more often.

This is where I’m living now. It’s in the mountains in California and it is the closest to home I’ve felt since I moved. I really love it here!

Aorta is a self-produced, collectively-created, bi-annual publication that features a diversity of emerging and established female, queer and transgender artists. I am highly honored to be part of this publication.

Aorta Magazine Issue #3: Interview with Ms Nikki Nefarious

Many people may not have considered rigging an art. We completely disagree. Not only is it a highly skilled act, it is performative, asthetic [sic], and creative. How would you describe the art of rigging?

The art of rigging is kinesthetic, for all parties involved. The body is a canvas for my ropes and with this canvas I create a work of art, from the placement and weavings of the ropes, the knots themselves, and of course the positions and contortions of the body once bound. The desired effect is not merely to render my captive immobile or restrained, but to transform them into something more than they were before. Every movement they are allowed to make is only by virtue of my ropes and is allowed only to heighten the sensation for both the bottom as well as the eyes of the beholder. I believe that the underlying art of bondage is in knowing the human form, knowing where pressure points are and how to avoid them, knowing how to create comfortable harnesses and positions so that all parties can enjoy the experience for as long as possible, and being able to incorporate the flow of energy into the sensation. I prefer to rig barefoot whenever possible as I grew up rigging in the woods in my youth, and I find it helps to center me to be able to create this art with my bare hands while in my bare feet. For me bondage art is akin to creating living art sculptures.

How does the literal and physical act of restraining, suspending, and binding translate into emotion and metaphor?

I think that this is highly dependent upon the individual experience and it varies from person to person. However I do have some personal observations I could use. One of my favorite suspension moments happened between me and a curious acquaintance who had always wanted to try suspension. She enjoyed bondage play in the bedroom, but had never been suspended before. I suspended her for her first time and there was absolutely no sexual play or implication or “scene”, this was simply for her to have her first suspension experience in a safe space with someone she trusted. Once she was suspended there was a moment when the very energy in the air changed, I saw that she was flying at that moment. She was completely free and without any other external stimulation except for the pressure of the ropes on her skin. When I asked her about it later she informed me that as a busy and stressed single mother of two who worked a full time job, had to provide specialized child care, and was back and forth from outpatient care for her child, she rarely had time to relax, and when she did have time there was just too much on her mind, too much she should be doing. She confided in me that once she was in the air the realized that even if she wanted to run her errands or do that extra load of laundry, she absolutely could not, and in a way that gave her the permission she needed in order to allow herself to fully and completely relax and enjoy that quiet moment. For her the suspension was a form of refuge as well as liberation, though she was tightly bound. For me personally I do self bondage and self suspension, but it isn’t to restrain myself, on the contrary it is an outlet for my expression, a way for me to be unrestrained by the limitations of my day to day life. Ironically enough I believe that physical bondage in itself is a mentally and emotionally liberating experience.

You are also a photographer, maybe a spider woman photographer? You put people in a web of bondage and then photograph them. What is the photograph or portrait of? The captive? Your web? Both?

All of the above! I like to tell a story with my photography, each photo a mere snippet from some visual novel or some slice of life, the meaning of which is entirely dependent upon the beholder. In doing so I try to capture the beauty of not only the rope work but also the captive and I put effort into all visual aspects of the photo. I do wardrobe styling, hair styling, and makeup so that the captive appears exactly as I wish them to be. I design lighting and sets, from complex to barren, so that the mood is expressed exactly as I wish it to be. I place the models in ropes or suspensions so that their positions are exactly as I wish them to be. Then, once all the pieces are in place, I capture my artwork with a photograph, which in itself is yet another form of artistic expression for me that I have enjoyed for over a decade. It is the combination of all these artistic expressions that I wish to capture through my bondage photography.

When did you decide that you wanted to tie people up for a living?

To be honest, I never actually decided to try to do this for a living. It just sort of happened. I guess it was always an inherent internal desire that manifested itself once I found myself in a position of opportunity. My working background includes financial planning and project management. I was laid off from an office job and found myself as an unemployed project manager in an economy where no one was creating new projects and had no need of a project manager. I prayed a lot and my mother gave me the advice to “give it up to God” so I decided that I would stop prejudging my life and stop worrying about what I “should do” and simply exist as I am and follow my bliss with the knowledge that something would work out depending on what energy I sent out into the world.  Soon after that I got a call to be an assistant photographer for the MTV Movie Awards giftbag suite in LA. That is when I decided to move from NC to Los Angeles. I had actually started out in LA as journalistic photographer for a news agency, which I still work for, however other things started to manifest for me out here. Once I took that leap of faith, everything fell into place.

Do you, or how do you divide your commercial work from your personal?

I do divide my commercial work from my personal art actually. In my art I do not rig for the sake of fetish, so it is rare to see a standard hogtie in my online gallery. In my art my bondage is not necessarily to render my captive immobile, so sometimes I do not include wrist ties or ankle ties. For my commercial work, specifically fetish production, including men in bondage or damsel in distress style productions, wrist and ankle ties are paramount, as are standard positions such as hogtie, frogtie, etc and I focus on the fetish of the bondage versus telling a story with the bondage. My rigging style is similar, but my focus is altered when I am in the space of work versus art, and that lends to a difference in the appearance and function of my rigging though all forms are my own expression. I consider photoshoots as AlteredAperture as well as ProDomina bondage sessions as Ms Nikki Nefarious as part of my personal art and expression, so thankfully I get to make a living in both personal art and commercial work as a bondage artist.

What are you up to currently and what is to come?

I offer ProDomina sessions for rope bondage, mental bondage, humiliation, objectification, foot worship, play piercing, fire play, body impact, and various other interests. I currently teach bondage safety and technique classes for individuals and couples in the Los Angeles area and for various BDSM organizations and conventions across the country. The end of November I taught a Sex and Bondage class at Servitus LA, where I taught about pressure points, safety, and various fluid positions for sex while in bondage. In December at Stockroom University in LA I taught a class on Human Furniture and Living Art Centerpieces to teach people how to incorporate bondage into their holiday party decorations. I am also working with a local bondage enthusiast to create a grass roots bondage conference in LA for the end of January. I will also be teaching the Sex and Bondage class at Dungeon Servitus in San Diego in Feburary as well. I am currently a Mentor for Fetish Noir, a small lifestyle education troupe in Los Angeles.

I was turned down by Playboy because, even though they were going to hire me for the job, they wanted me to be topless and I don’t do that. My photography was published in Hustler. I was interviewed by the folk who did taxi cab confessions, I taught Binder’s Keepers at DomCon. I’m doing a full class series once a month to feature a different Full Class each month, these are different from the partial classes I teach at Threshold. I am so stoked about being able to finally teach a Full Class on Harnesses: Choosing and Using the Right Rig for You. So far I’ve only been able to do a paritial of this class, so if you’ve seen me teach this class at Threshhold or conventions, you’re in for a treat as this will cover things above and beyond that scope.

In this full class I will teach bondage rope safety, different types of ropes, and various body harnesses from Traditional Sibari to Modern Bondage Art. Learn how to create the Japanese Box Tie or the Karada (aka Diamond or Tortoise Shell) harness. I will also teach a Basic-But-Comfy Suspension harness for both males and females.  And for those who love bondage art I will be teaching decorative body corseting, as well as a few naughty little harnesses you can make with rope. You won’t want to miss this!!

This is an Interactive Hands-On class, so be sure to bring ropes. This will be a group oriented class, not the customary 1-on-1 experience that my private class members have, however at a much reduced rate it’s a great deal, and I will be going around to each and every individual or couple as we learn each tie to make sure you have the hang of it. So no worries, you’ll still get some face time with me, I’m a sweetums like that.

Tickets are $15/individual or $20/couple at the door. We will fill to capacity and tickets will be first come first served, so come early!!
